In Memoriam–Martha J. Carothers

On September 26th, Father John and the parish celebrated a funeral service for Martha J. Carothers, a longtime parishioner. Martha was 95 years old and a long-time Brighton Heights resident. A few years back, Martha relocated to Ohio to be close to her daughter, but she remained in contact with the parish during her absence. We remember that Martha had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and could be found each week in her favorite pew. She was an avid participant in Faith, Food and Fellowship, and was supportive of church activities. She was a lovely woman and she will be missed not only by her large family (see below) but also by her parish family.
