May Birthday Wishes!

Birthday wishes to our parishioners born during this beautiful spring month! Ruth E (4th); Bob M (18th); Charlotte E (21st); Judy F (26th); Darcy M (27th); and Patrick P (29th). O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants as they begin another year.   Lorena Ringle passed her ordination exams and graduated from Deacon School last Sunday! She will be our guest preacher on May 17th, and offer a message on what it means to be a deacon in the church. Lorena’s last day with us will be on Sunday, May 31st. We anticipate that her ordination date to the Deaconate will be announced in the very near future. We will keep you posted. Congratulations, Lorena! Little Saints Room Dedication

The Little Saints Room is almost complete! Just a few things, such as the new TV and bulletin boards, have to be hung on the walls. The room dedication will occur this coming fall when the Sunday School resumes. At that time, we will bless and dedicate the room and have an official party to thank and recognize the hard work of the Wagner, Price and Brucker families. Without their vision and effort, our children wouldn’t have this rejuvenated education space to learn about the Lord.

New Church Bells

A ringing thank you to Jim Taylor for the donation of our new hand-held church bells! The four brass bells are attached to an attractive wooden handle, and make it much easier to ring during the Eucharist.  The sound of the bells has been a pleasant addition to our worship experience.

Sunday Service Time Change

For the summer, we will be moving our Sunday Service time to 9:45AM beginning on Sunday, June 21st, 2015. We plan to return to our 10:30AM start around Labor Day. As many of you know, without air-conditioning our Sanctuary is extremely warm and uncomfortable as the temperature rises. We hope that an earlier start time will encourage more parishioners to attend services throughout the summer. Please come early and often!

Lay Eucharistic Training

We will be offering a Lay Eucharistic Minister/Visitor training workshop this spring–the date will be announced this Sunday. The workshop will teach us: That at our Baptism we joined with countless faithful Christians over the centuries in the eternal priesthood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To bring the sacrament of his precious Body and Blood to our brothers and sisters at the altar rail or at home is a profound spiritual privilege beyond measure. We are entrusted to carry the Gifts of God to the People of God with the Love of God. Those who are interested in this special ministry are …

Church School Renovation Project!

The Church School is now complete! Thanks to the dedicated and hard work of our team of young families, our growing Sunday School can now move down stairs into the large and renovated Children’s Education Room. Joe & Christi Warner, Caitlin & Patrick Price, and Jason Brucker were all instrumental in this project. Joe was their dedicated leader and spent countless hours scraping, painting, and laying the new floor. Soon, the bulletin board and TV will be hung and Daryl will be able to decorate the walls. We look forward to dedicating this new space in the next few weeks! …
