Making Beautiful Music

Our organist, Ed Buechele honored our Lord during Holy Week with his talent. He also invited Anna Troxler, an accomplished cellist and soloist, to lend her talents to our solemn Good Friday service. There did not appear to be a dry eye in the parish during her solo, “What Child is This?”.

Anna and another familiar soloist from our Christmas Eve Service, Matthew Mangus, returned on Easter. Matt’s
beautiful rendition of “Because He Lives” was heartfelt and reverent.

To top it off, words can’t describe the joy we felt when our own Karyn Kwiatkowski’s hymn “Mountain Laurel” was sung in public for the first time! To our surprise, Ed, who is an accomplished music producer, collaborated with Karyn and helped to bring her original work to completion. Anna and Ed led the congregation to sing this beautiful hymn before the Gospel reading.

Word has it that Ed will now take the steps needed to copyright Karyn’s hymn. We will keep you posted about its progress. You can also be assured that “Mountain Laurel” will take a “noteworthy” place in our worship. Thank you for lending us your talents!
